Referring to South Africa’s darkest days and its brotherhood-in-arms with the Palestinian people, Mandela said this struggle is not only political but also a moral responsibility.

Stressing that “hope and resilience can never be silenced,” Mandela said they had taken up the torch to break the siege and called on the world: “Join us. Stop the genocide. Do not take your eyes off Gaza.”
