What is the Global Sumud Flotilla?

The Global Sumud Flotilla is a coordinated civil flotilla from multiple countries that aims to peacefully and non-violently highlight the demand for humanitarian access to Gaza. It works with logistics, legal, medical and communications teams; funding is largely donation-based.

Formed in 2025, the Global Sumud Flotilla is presented as the largest civil maritime mission towards Gaza to date. Participants span 44 countries and an announced fleet of 50+ vessels. Boats have departed from Spain, Italy, Tunisia and Malaysia, continuing their voyage to deliver humanitarian aid and challenge the naval blockade.

Recent notes mention short weather-related delays for the Barcelona and Malaysia convoys, and that the Tunisia departure is postponed to September 13, 2025. In many countries, including Türkiye, large solidarity rallies have been held.

When will the flotilla arrive?

Providing a precise ETA is not feasible: sea/weather conditions, security, port/permit and diplomatic factors directly affect timing. Follow the official tracker and organizational announcements for real-time plans.

For the 2025 plan, departure from Tunisia is scheduled for September 13, 2025. If conditions allow, a Mediterranean passage may take roughly 7-9 days, implying a tentative approach to Gaza around September 19–22, 2025. These dates are conditional and may change.
